Unclad Vedic Intentional Divine Yoga (UVIDY)

Unclad

Unclad Vedic Intentional Divine Yoga (UVIDY) is a modern evolution of what in Sankrit is termed nagna yoga or vivastra yoga. It involves doing yoga in our most natural state – completely unclad.  Nude yoga, naturally!  The goal of UVIDY is to completely eliminate bodily shame, eliminate unhealthy societal programming and inhibitions, and accepting the natural imperfections of our true selves. It is all about letting go of the judgmental voice in our head that constantly causes us to critique ourselves.

Vedic

UVIDY is Vedic Yoga.  Vedic Yoga is the oldest form of Yoga dating back to the Rig Veda, which is possibly the oldest book in the world. It is the oldest Sanskrit text and the oldest work in any Indo-European language. Many believe Vedic teachings date back to Satya Yuga or Golden Age more than ten thousand years ago.

Intentional

UVIDY is about setting real intentions in life. Being intentional means getting clear upfront about what you want to achieve. You intentionally set an intention to achieve a specific outcome or result in the future that is important to you

Divine

UVIDY is about getting closer to true nature and connecting our limited little egoic self with the unlimited, eternal, higher Self.

Yoga

Yoga practices include posture (asana), breathing (pranayama), control of subtle forces (mudra and bandha), cleansing the body-mind (shat karma), visualizations, chanting of mantras, and many forms of meditation.  Everything we do can become yoga if it is done with awareness. Awareness is the key to discovering all the mysteries of who we truly are. Yoga reveals the luminous intelligence and the beauty that lies within us.

"The soul, like the moon is new and always new again and I have seen the ocean continuously creating. Since I washed my mind and my body, I too, am new, each moment new. My teacher told me one thing: Live in the soul. When that was so, I began to go naked and dance."
